Day 16 - Plasterboard

Almost all of the wall frames are now up - the only one remaining is the one at the end of the office next to the stairs. We have a cupboard on the landing, and all the wiring is hanging in roughly the right places.
The office:

The bathroom (the cupboard is the other side of the framework on the second picture):

And the bedroom (now fully plasterboarded out):

This week is going to be busy, with the rest of the windows arriving, the gable end being bricked up and the stairs being fitted. I think the new walls will be skimmed as well at some point this week or early next.
The bathroom door will also be moved at some point (probably Wednesday) so that there is space for the bottom of the stairs.

The engineer's report has come back which means we don't actually need a second piece of steel, as we have a load bearing partition wall which has been deemed strong enough to replace the steel.

I've also bought the first fittings for the bathroom - the sink plus vanity unit (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S19903103/), the wall cabinet to go above the sink (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/70217671/), and a towel rail to go above the new radiator (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/30227592/). I've also got the taps for the sink.
We're hopefully ordering the rest of the bathroom today...
